How much product can I order at one time?
According to Health Canada, medical marijuana customers are allowed to receive up to 150 grams at a time or thirty (30) times the daily amount, whichever is the lesser. Your medical practitioner will prescribe the dosage for you. For more information from Health Canada, click here.
Will my medical cannabis expire?
According to Health Canada the ideal storage temperature for dried cannabis is 2-6 degrees celsius which can result in a 12 month shelf life. Redecan suggests that cannabis be stored in a cool and dark location.
Can I mix two different medical cannabis products?
Yes, RedeCan premium products can be mixed to find the right balance for you. Some patients prefer to use different strains during the day and night, and even depending on the tasks at hand.
How much medical cannabis is legally acceptable to carry?
According to federal regulations, you are not allowed to travel internationally with medical cannabis. In Canada, medical marijuana customers are allowed to carry up to 30 times your daily limit (150g).

What documentation do I need to prove my medical status?
To comply with Canada’s Cannabis Regulations keep your patient label or marijuana medicine container with you at all times.
You are allowed to travel within Canada as long as you hold your prescription documentation as outlined above.

Frequent rinsing with hot water will help ensure that your syringe will properly function.
How to store?
It is recommended to store your cannabis oil in a spot with stable temperature away from direct light, heat or moisture.
Making sense of concentration
Concentration varies depending on the product ordered. Our concentrations are expressed in terms of milligrams/millilitres (mg/ml). A product with a THC concentration of 20mg/ml is twice as strong as a product that is 10mg/ml. Keep concentrations in mind if you are using a new product.
What dosage should I take?
Oils can be slow to active in your system, so it is recommended that you start low and go slow. Give yourself time to see how the oil has affected you before consuming more.
What is carrier oil?
Licensed Producers are required to dilute the cannabis that is extracted with an alternate substance, which is called a carrier oil. RedeCan uses MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides) oil. MCT Oil is colourless, odourless, and stays liquid at room temperature.
What is equivalency factor?
The equivalency factor is expressed in terms of how many millilitres (volume) were produced from 1 gram of cannabis.
Why can’t I see or purchase Redecan Vape products?
Please note if you have a THC restriction on your prescription, this may be limiting your ability to see, and purchase Redecan Vape products. The current Vape products available on the market are 83.8% THC. Prescriptions may have been written with the intention of filling the orders with dried bud product and as of such might have been capped on the high end of 25/30% THC. If you are wanting to purchase Redecan Vape Products as a patient and currently have a restriction on your prescription, you will need to contact your prescribing medical care provider to remove the THC percentage restrictions.
Clients can now possess a 30-day supply or 150 grams of dried cannabis, which ever is less.
How Much Cannabis Can I Purchase?
Patients no longer have a monthly order limit however they cannot exceed the maximum amount of their prescription and or exceed 150 grams per day/shipment.
Is Medical Marijuana Covered by Insurance?
Medical Insurance plans do not generally cover cannabis in Canada. It can also be considered a taxable medical expense. Speak to your insurance provider for more information.
Why Do I Have to pay Excise tax?
As of October 17 the Federal and Provincial Government has changed a1$ excise tax on medical marijuana. At RedeCan we put patients first. We do not believe that you should have to pay the excise tax on medical products and for that reason, we cover this fee for you. Our prices remain to be one of the lowest in the industry so your medicine is affordable.

Is medical cannabis covered by my drug plan?
Medical cannabis is not currently covered by medical plans in Canada, however, expenses related to medical cannabis can be claimed on your income tax return under the Medical Tax Credit. How will my medical cannabis be shipped?
All customers will receive their medical marijuana in a sealed, child-proof container. Why am I not getting Redecan emails/why are Redecan emails in my junk?
While our @redecan.ca emails reach most emails without issue, there are some with higher security restrictions that may filter our address to spam/junk.
